The C2/C3 Roundabout project represents a significant effort to enhance roading networks and related infrastructure in Cambridge. These upgrades include the construction of a new single-lane roundabout, a shared walking and cycling path, and a new pedestrian underpass. These efforts are designed to seamlessly connect the township with new developments in Cambridge West, while laying the groundwork for further expansion.
The primary objectives of this project include the establishment of a safe and efficient transportation system, fostering better connectivity between the town and its expanding western areas, and the provision of essential underground infrastructure to support future development.
The C2/C3 Roundabout project offers a multitude of benefits to the community. Once completed, it will enhance traffic safety and reduce congestion on Cambridge Road. The addition of a shared walking and cycling path promotes healthier and more sustainable transportation options, and the new pedestrian underpass will contribute significantly to pedestrian safety, making it easier and safer for residents to access schools, parks, and other amenities on both sides of Cambridge Road. Ultimately, this project is a testament to our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our community and ensuring that Cambridge remains a vibrant and accessible township for generations to come.
