Waitomo Footpath Renewals & Repairs

Project Status: In progress
Client: Waitomo District Council

Project Overview:

The Waitomo Footpath Renewals & Repairs project is currently underway, dedicated to revitalising the footpath network in various townships in the region, and recognising the vital role of quality footpaths in fostering thriving communities.

Project Scope:

Across 13 sites in Te Kuiti, Piopio, Manaiti/Bennydale, Mokau, and Waitomo Village, our primary goals include enhancing pedestrian infrastructure, addressing the wear and tear of existing footpaths, and extending the footpath network where needed. By ensuring well-maintained, accessible pathways, we aim to facilitate safer and more convenient mobility for all residents and visitors.

Community Benefits:

This project directly benefits the community by promoting pedestrian safety, improving access to local amenities, and creating a more inclusive environment for everyone. Well-maintained footpaths support healthier, active lifestyles and enhance the overall quality of life in our region. Additionally, these infrastructure improvements contribute to the aesthetic appeal of our communities and support local economic development by making our towns more inviting and accessible.
