Mokau Streetscape Upgrades & Truck Parking Bay

Project Status: In progress
Client: Waitomo District Council

Project Overview:

The Mokau Streetscape Upgrades project is set to rejuvenate the heart of Mokau township in the Waitomo District. Focusing on the roading infrastructure surrounding the cafe, shops, and public toilets along State Highway 3, this initiative aims to enhance accessibility and create an enhanced experience for both residents and visitors to Mokau.

Project Scope:

Our primary objectives include the transformation of the streetscape into a more pedestrian-friendly and aesthetically pleasing environment. The project's scope encompasses a range of enhancements, including new concrete stairs, stormwater drainage, pavement upgrades, line marking, truck parking bays, and the revitalisation of existing assets like signage, streetlights, and landscaping.

Community Benefits:

By providing better access to essential amenities, such as the cafe and shops, it enhances the overall quality of life for residents. For visitors, it creates a more inviting and enjoyable experience, potentially boosting tourism and local businesses. The incorporation of upgraded infrastructure not only enhances functionality but also supports the long-term sustainability and vibrancy of Mokau as a destination.
