PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project encompassed various upgrades to the night yard and raceway in preparation for the relocation of the giraffe exhibition at Hamilton Zoo.
PROJECT SCOPE
The scope encompassed supplying, preparing, and constructing chambers and grates, connecting to stormwater reticulation, removing tree stumps, and resurfacing the giraffe raceway, with the addition of pavements and kerbs. The project took just under six months to complete and required a lot of consultation with the Downey and Hamilton Zoo throughout works due to the unique challenges and sensitive nature of the zoo environment.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
By completing this project, the giraffes are now thriving in their new environment and continue delighting visitors at Hamilton Zoo.
