PROJECT OVERVIEW

Initiated by Waipā District Council, the aim of this project was to address stormwater management and improve transport infrastructure in Kihikihi. The project focused on constructing a new stormwater system beneath Haultain Street to control overland flow during heavy rain events and enhance existing road conditions.

PROJECT SCOPE

The scope encompassed the installation of a new stormwater management system, upgrading kerb and channel, constructing a footpath, and widening the road pavement. Additionally, the project included landscaping to improve the street's aesthetic appeal.

COMMUNITY BENEFITS

Residents will benefit from improved flood mitigation during heavy rainfall, enhancing property protection and safety. The widened road and new footpath will increase pedestrian and vehicular safety, while landscaping will boost the street's visual appeal.
