About the role:
As Contract Manager – Infrastructure, you’ll have full ownership of delivery performance across Camex Civil’s infrastructure portfolio – 3 Waters, transport, and public works projects across the Waikato region. You’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team of Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Site Managers, and be the senior point of accountability for financial, quality, safety, and time outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects across the region, from planning and resourcing through to completion.
- Providing operational oversight and governance across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Holding Project Managers accountable for delivery, quality, financial, and safety performance.
- Managing client relationships at a senior level, acting as the key point of contact for negotiations and issue resolution.
- Overseeing budgets, forecasts, variations, and monthly reporting.
- Contributing to tender reviews, delivery methodologies, and business development.
- Building a strong, aligned team culture consistent with Cemex’s RIPPED values.

What you'll bring:
- 10+ years’ experience delivering civil infrastructure or land development projects.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Proven success in client management, contract negotiation, and senior team leadership.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen – you understand margin, forecasting, and cost control.
- Sound decision-making under pressure with the ability to assess and manage risk across a portfolio.
- Experience in both greenfield and brownfield environments (preferred).
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and modern project management systems (preferred).
- Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence.

- Managing cost control and the claims process with support from a quantity surveyor.
- Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships, including reporting and negotiations.
- Ensuring compliance with all industry regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
- Supporting the new business team in tendering functions such as price reviews, method and programme drafting.

What you'll bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ project management experience in civil infrastructure.
- Competent in Microsoft Project, able to develop, manage, and communicate detailed construction programmes, identify critical paths, and proactively manage programme risks and recovery plans.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, monthly claims, variations, and subcontractor management, with a track record of delivering within budget and margin.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Sound, timely decisions under pressure, assessing risk and implementing practical solutions to keep projects on programme and on budget.
- A proven leader who coaches and develops project engineers and site managers, delegates effectively, and builds a positive, safety- and quality-focused team culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred).
- Full Class 1 Driver License.

Are you a multi-skilled operator who's confident across a range of plant? Do you know your way around GPS machine control and take pride in getting the finish right?

Camex Civil is looking for an experienced multi-skilled operator to join our Taupō team. Alongside your time behind the controls, you'll take the lead on site, keeping the crew organised and the job moving.

About the role:
Your main focus will be operating a variety of plant on civil construction projects, using GPS machine control and laser levels to build to design. As the most experienced hand on site, you'll also coordinate the crew day to day and support less experienced team members.

Key responsibilities include:
- Operating a variety of heavy machinery across a range of civil construction works, and taking on physical works as required.
- Using GPS machine control and laser levelling equipment to set out, check levels and build to design alignments and elevations.
- Carrying out pre-operational checks and basic maintenance on plant, and promptly reporting any defects.
- Reading construction plans and specifications to make sure work is completed to the required quality standards.
- Coordinating the crew day to day, running pre-start meetings and supporting on-site training.
- Working with the Senior Site Manager to plan ahead, flag resource needs and assist with material ordering.
- Completing Task Analyses and site records, and upholding safety and environmental standards, including erosion and sediment control and working alongside traffic management on roadside projects.

What you'll bring:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in the civil construction industry.
- A full Class 2 Driver's Licence.
- Proven experience operating a variety of heavy machinery as a multi-skilled operator.
- Hands-on experience with GPS machine control and laser levelling equipment.
- The ability to read construction plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of working across different soil types, materials and weather conditions.
- The confidence to take the lead on site, with clear communication skills.
- Previous leading hand or foreman experience, a Class 4 Driver's Licence, WTR endorsements, Construct Safe Certification or First Aid Certification are all advantageous.

Do you take pride in getting the paperwork as right as the pavement? Are you the engineer who'd rather catch a non-conformance on Tuesday than explain it to the engineer on Friday?

Camex Civil is looking for a Project Engineer to take full ownership of quality assurance across our Bay of Plenty term maintenance contracts, while providing technical support and QA oversight across our wider BOP project portfolio. If you want a role where your QA discipline genuinely shapes project outcomes, not just ticks a box, this is it. 

About the role:
You'll take full ownership of QA and AWM/RAMM record-keeping for our BOP term maintenance contracts, leading the live implementation of Contract Quality Plans and ITPs, managing hold and witness points, and keeping claim-support evidence complete and on time. Alongside this, you'll provide QA support and practical onsite technical assistance across our wider BOP project portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading implementation of Contract Quality Plans (CQPs) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), including hold, witness and monitor point management and Engineer notifications.
- Owning AWM/RAMM records dispatch data, quantities, photos, dockets and test results ensuring claim-support evidence is accurate and submitted on time.
- Managing non-conformances end-to-end: recording, notifying the Engineer, driving correction with crews, and closing out via reinspection or retesting.
- Visiting BOP sites to verify work against specification and ITPs and providing practical technical support to site managers and foremen drawings, set out and levels, RFIs and methodology input.
- Coordinating hold point and testing requirements (NDM, plateau, proof roll, CBR, Benkelman) with laboratory and geotechnical providers.
- Building strong working relationships with the Engineer to Contract, council representatives and site teams.

What you'll bring:
- A tertiary qualification in civil engineering (BE, BEng Tech or NZDE), or equivalent demonstrated site and QA experience.
- 3+ years in civil construction or roading, with genuine hands-on QA exposure, not QA as an afterthought.
- Strong QA discipline across CQPs, ITPs, hold points, NCRs and testing records that would stand up to formal audit.
- Working knowledge of NZS 3910 and NZS 3917.
- AWM/RAMM experience (or a comparable asset/maintenance management system) is a strong advantage.
- Confidence on site and credibility with crews, you can identify a non-conformance and get it corrected without creating friction.
- A full, clean driver's licence.
