Careers at Camex

“I’ve been part of Camex for six months, working in different teams to gain experience as I work towards becoming a certified civil engineer and future project manager.

I joined Camex after being in the civil industry for six years, working as a labourer and operator, as I wanted to gain an understanding of the more technical and business operations side of projects.

When I first came to Camex, I had very little experience managing people and resources. I was quickly put in a position on site that allowed me to work on those skills.

The support that I have received in my role has been great, allowing me to develop professionally and grow closer to my goals.

I enjoy working at Camex because it really feels like an extended family. When you come to work, you feel like you belong here. There are quite a few of us who are currently working towards our qualifications, so we’ve set up a study group to help each-other stay motivated and ace our studies.

On a personal level, Camex has also helped me achieve a better work/life balance, so I can spend more time with my family.

I would highly recommend others do this program and earn while working towards a qualification that can help make a real change."
