PROJECT OVERVIEW
Initiated in early 2024, the Tongariro Domain Water Renewals addressed the aging watermains on Redoubt Street and Story Place. The purpose of this project was to provide improvements to the water network.
PROJECT SCOPE
Camex Civil installed 700 metres of 180mm pipe, 182 metres of 63mm pipe, and 100 metres of 125mm pipe. Stakeholder communications were central to the success of the project – ensuring everyone was kept informed about the ongoing works in the area, and still had access to important buildings.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
By addressing the aging watermains, it ensures that the water network will continue to run smoothly and efficiently without disruptions. The update has also increased the capacity for firefighting, safeguarding the community against potential fire concerns.
